Recently renovated Ciasa Medalghes in Longiarù in Badia Valley, with its 5 spacious apartments for your holiday in San Martino in Badia, enjoys a panoramic location, just 50 m away from the farm. Next to the house you will find an ample parking, a garden with sun loungers and a barbecue, as well as a kitchen garden with salad and aromatic herbs.

The farm’s core, the old tavern, is the first tavern mentioned in the village chronicle in the early 16th century. Recognizing its great historical and cultural value, the tavern is now under restoration, waiting to regain its antique splendour.

The mill

Ostì Vedl Farm owns, inter alia, a water mill, renovated and ready for use. Upon request, the mill is available for visits, guided by the farmer himself, who doesn’t only show the grinding process, but also offers you a flavoursome aperitif inside.

Essential for every Ladin farm, our cowshed represents the ancient traditions of beef and dairy cattle breeding in the Valley of Longiarù. In addition to the cows, the cowshed hosts a mini-zoo, where our little guests can see goats, rabbits, hens, pigs and cats.
  • The hayloft

The hayloft

Located, according to the Tyrolean traditions, above the cowshed, the hayloft is always full of fragrant hay, harvested on our alpine meadows in the valley and in the mountains. That’s the farmers’ real gold, essential for feeding the cattle during long and snowy winters.

The mountain huts

Mountain huts were traditionally used for storing the hay, harvested in the mountains, till winter, when it was brought down with sleds. Nowadays, the farm’s mountain huts are just picturesque witnesses of the Ladin story and culture, that adorn the unique landscapes of the Dolomites. At the Munt Cörta hut, located at the entrance to the Nature Park Puez-Odle, we provide the possibility to organize spectacular mountain barbecues.
